How to Update Your Monnify Email Addresses
As a merchant, you may have registered different email addresses on Monnify for different purposes; login, transaction verification, settlement notifications, and so on. How you update them depends on the type of email you want to change.
Chargeback and Support Emails
These can be updated directly from your Monnify Dashboard. See Managing Your Chargeback and Support Emails for a step-by-step guide.
Other Email Addresses
For any other email type such as your login email, verification email, or settlement notification email, changes are processed by our support team for security reasons.
Send an email from the email address currently linked to your Monnify account.
- Send to: [email protected]
- Subject: Request to Change Email Address: [Your Business Name]
- Body: Include the following:
- The type of email you want to change and what it is used for (e.g. "login email" or "transaction verification email")
- Your current email address and the new email address you want it changed to
- Your registered business name and full name as it appears on your Monnify account
- Your phone number linked to your Monnify account
- Your current settlement bank account details
- The BVN linked to your settlement account
- A copy of the valid ID provided during your initial account registration
Which Email Address Should You Send From?
Send the request from your login email where possible. If your login email is the one you need to change, you may use an alternative email address, with two additional requirements:
- Ensure all other users on your Monnify account are copied on the email
- State in the body that your colleagues or team members are aware of the request.
Once we verify your identity, we will process the update and notify you promptly.
